Things Are Heating Up!

Summer heat is here and the temperature isn't the only thing heating up. The bite has been on fire!

All of the Pocket Change fleet have been on the fish. We're catching snook, reds, mackerel, snapper, grouper, and huge sharks, up to 9ft!

We're going to focus on the mangrove snapper for this months report.

The "mango" bite is on fire at all the typical spots. Residential docks, bridges, and rock piles and reefs spotting the Bay.

The best set up is a 4000 size reel on a 7 ft-7.6ft 8-17lb class rod loaded with 15 lb braid mail line and a 20lb florocarbon leader. Tie on a 1/4 oz Mission Fishin jig if fishing the rock piles, bridges , or reefs or a #2 circle hook if Fishing the docks. Bait can be anything from shrimp or whitebait around the docks to cut bait out on the bay rock piles. Of course all the baits can be used at any of the spots. There are quality fish up to 3+ lbs to be had. The inshore limit is 5 fish over 10 inches.

Stay alert at the reefs and rock piles. Keeper gag grouper are always a possibility. The season opened June 1st.

We run four boats now and will give you the best fishing experience in the Bay. We can take 4 anglers per boat and accommodate larger groups.
